Bathroom and Kitchen Designer/Salesperson

Job Description: Provide exceptional customer service to our clients, primarily while including working on remodeling projects to update existing homes. Our ideal candidate knows the intricacies of bath and kitchen design projects, including the details of cabinet making and flooring installation. Having product knowledge of various materials, lighting fixtures, and finishes are also preferable.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Assist and engage clients with design consultations and showroom selections
• Originate design presentations and portfolios of selections for client and team
• Present options to client and procure final selections on layout, aesthetics and materials
• Order and track project selections.
• Direct point of contact with contractors and tradesmen on things like, tile, fixtures, lighting etc.
• Organize & communicate project specs, drawings, layout and specific customer requests
• Track, communicate, and process change order requests and associated costs with client
• Build and maintain various fixture lines for expedited estimation and sales
• Identify costs on materials and work with purchasing on lowering cost of goods purchased
• Identify, improve & implement new and existing company operating procedures

Other required duties:

• Assist sales staff at site visits as needed
• Assist in project scheduling and timeline
• Assist in processing company invoicing as well as cost and profit reports
• Attend & assist in scheduling meetings with updates, product ordering and project status
• Fill in for CSR position as needed from time to time- follow script, answer phones, book calls and detail requests

Requirements:

• Experience in home building process and materials
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Understanding of historical design trends
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Deal closing or sales experience preferred but not required
